THEE SILVER MT. ZION (CAN)

First there was legendary Godspeed You! Black Emperor. After the group split up a band was founded: Thee Silver Mt. Zion. Now they are coming to Finland for the first time: show at Tavastia on October 5th. Tickets 18/20€, pre-sale Tiketti.

Indie band Xiu Xiu (USA) will play at Uusi Aalto -klubi, Tavastia on Tuesday October 14th. Tickets 15/17 euros, pre-sale at Tiketti.

Horror rock act Aiden (USA) is about to play two shows in Finland: October 22nd at Nosturi, Helsinki and October 23rd at Pakkahuone, Tampere. Tickets available at Tiketti and Lippupalvelu.

TALIBAM! (USA)

This autumn's first Black Box club is proud to present noise rock duo Talibam! from New York City. The band will perform at Semifinal with Hetero Skeleton and Black Box dj's on September 30th.

DIE! DIE! DIE! (NZ)

Experimental punk trio Die! Die! Die! from New Zealand will play two shows in Finland: on September 24th at Klubi, Turku and on the next day at Kuudes Linja, Helsinki. Last time Die! Die! Die! visited here two years ago at Kuningasklubi.

Indie band On Volcano will support, tickets are available at Tiketti for 5€ Turku and 8€ Helsinki.

NEW SHOWS

Japanese turntable artist DJ Krush will hit Finland after the break of six years. Krush performs at Tavastia on October 27th.

Also Swedish indie folk band Wildbirds & Peacedrums is coming to Helsinki. The band is about to play at Kuudes Linja on September 21st.

DISCO ENSEMBLE TO TOUR EUROPE

Disco Ensemble are off to a massive headliner tour both in Finland and Europe in September. By far, more than 30 concerts in over 10 countries have been confirmed and there are still more to come. Check the dates here.

In Europe, Disco Ensemble will be supported by Lapko. Tickets to the Finnish concerts, excluding Tampere and Joensuu, will be available from August 14th on at the usual pre-sale offices of the venues.

CALLISTO IN STUDIO

Callisto have just started to record their upcoming new album at Studio Mankku in Porvoo and at Victory Studio in Kokkola. The album will be produced, recorded and mixed by Jonas Olsson who has also worked with the band on the previous Callisto albums.

The studio sessions will be completed in Mid-August, and the yet untitled album is due in the beginning of 2009.
